Have been trying to get on for a day or so and it was just to potter here and there with a bit more history, wonder if my Kentucky man will follow potter LOL but then again I should probably explain, pottering about like an old lady in her garden LOL
So several things have happened over the week and thought I would mention the phone call I had yesterday as it has both annoyed and frustrated me....Wasn't going to write about it as didn't want to embarrass this chap but at the end of the day even if he did happen to look in again no names were exchanged he had seen the pup's from Tag I assume off champdogs and basically he asked if Tag had a nice big head so me being me I asked him to define Big as in large and nice as in a Stafford head, his previous dog had had a very big head and without giving to much detail as that wouldn't be fair he obviously had all the faults that went with a big bucket head which in the best diplomatic way I took the time to explain and our parting words he thanked me for the advice and I don't think he was offended, it hadn't occurred to him that certain traits accompanied a dog with a large head and he even said it made sense having had it explained to him. But the points that I found annoying was his Vet had never given him any advice even though the dog was treated for heat exhaustion twice and the poor mite had severe arthritis plus he said his claws used to bleed now I'm not saying everything contributed because he had a large head but probably wouldn't of suffered all three problems together had he had just a normal size head but then again whats normal as we still have breeders who are head hunters so it certainly didn't come as any surprise to learn the breeding of the chap's dog and how much he paid for him 10 years ago and one breeder I would not give the time or day to as they are arrogant twits as well.... Which brings me to another conversation I had last week now in a certain big British Holiday country they are charging huge amounts for pup's and stud fees anything from 1000 € up to 1800 € for matings and like wise for a puppy and higher so as the ££££££ is weak against the euro so they are charging way above British breeders prices and not at all the same choice of quality so maybe I ought to take Tag across for a couple of months LOL and put them out of business as we are not greedy like some and the most I have charged for him at stud if £200
